Kintera, Online Fundraising, eCRM

With Kintera, no news is good news…but there’s always news…

Kintera

So the March 29th teleconference came and went and Reuters reports:

Kintera Inc…. said it is cutting its workforce by 16 percent, and added that its last three quarterly results should not be “relied upon” due to an error in its revenue recognition policies for certain software, maintenance and hosting contracts.

Kintera is going down to 300 employees and focusing on CRM. Makes sense but I hear that they’re deeply discounting their prices if you can manage to be a grantee of certain foundations. I just don’t see an easy way out for Kintera right now.

Any comments? Looks like the earlier tout by Matt didn’t quite play out as planned.

Thanks for following through on this, Allan. Totally slipped my mind. You know how I feel about Kintera so I won’t go there now. Going to give this a listen and get back to you.

    Thanks again!
