The nptechhelp e-mail list is open only to IT workers in the nonprofit industry. This is by design. We hope to use our special status as nonprofit IT workers to advocate for change both in our industry and in the vendors who serve us.
- Issues like the GetActive/Convio “mashup” (how’s that for Web 2.0?) are bound to keep happening as we see more consolidation in the CRM arena. This is an invaluable way to share your thoughts about the recent acquisition without opening yourself up to vendors looking for new meat.
- Your peers aren’t necessarily smarter than you but then again they may be. Why not find out?
- Find out if “X” is hype. Don’t be the pioneer with the arrow in your back.
- If you belong to a large nonprofit, find out what the little nonprofits are doing and vice versa. You’ll find an interesting mix of organizational sizes on the nptechhelp list from the big dogs to the little whippets.
- Truly find out if you ARE the pioneer. Trumpet your intention to strike out into new territory on the list.
