Plone strikes a blow for OSS CMS transparency!

Last week, I sent out an e-mail to multiple OSS CMS sites asking the sites to reveal information on how many site visitors they receive. This is so that people can get an accurate gauge of interest in their technology. The only site that responded was plone.org. Plone’s marketing person, Paul Everitt, just gave me a URL that details all the web stats for plone.org.

I haven’t done any kind of analysis yet but go ahead and take a look at: http://stats.plone.org/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=squid. Their quick response and Plone’s contact list are good signs that Plone is pretty receptive to the need for more OSS CMS transparency.

How relevant was this post to you?

Plone V drupalGreat article, really useful, well organised and structured. I'm trying to evaluate a number of CMS's including Plone and Drupal, and this has really helped clarify the thought and decision making process. I may opt for neither as it happens, but that's still not certain, although I have a much clearer picture of the road ahead should I choose either option. Many thanks,

The attempts are mentioned by one of my friend :
