Another poll to select the next set of major nonprofit CRM vendors is out. Go ahead and vote (you have up to 5 choices). The purpose of the poll is to gauge how you feel about the everchanging nonprofit CRM environment and to see if there are any particular vendors that you think are going to get big pieces of the nonprofit CRM market.
So I’ve added more vendors to the poll in the hopes of cutting down on the mysterious “Other” choice, yet the “Other” choice for CRM keeps popping up as a leading choice. Those of you who vote for “Other”, what does it mean to you when you vote for “Other”? Does it mean you think that the list of vendors don’t include your particular choice for a CRM or does it mean that you think that there’s going to be some “other” CRM, yet to be made, that will become as dominant as Raiser’s Edge is now?

Infinity is going to rock your world. The old business model that Blackbaud has run on for years is dead.
I’ve enjoyed your blog over the past 6 months, but I felt compelled to actually write a comment.
I’m surprised that you haven’t included providers such as DonorPerfect or Etapestry.
DonorPerfect alone has over 7000 customers, has always supported an open data model, and our Online Edition has supported an XML API (full read/write ability) for the last 4 years.
As one of the founders of DonorPerfect, I always keep an open door policy- please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about us or the industry in general.

I agree with John & Peter. There are many better choices out there now. Z2 Systems NEON software has been winning deals aways from all of the competitors you listed.
NEON is specially designed for non-profits, with all of the same features as the big players and a whole lot more. A free trial is available to anyone whom would like to compare it.
There are too many tools just focusing on certain areas that don’t communicate with eachother. In this day and age everything needs to be able to communicate to be able to best manage your data. NEON has the answer to this problem.

Hello Jeff, I had heard rumors about NEON at the last NTC but the vendor fair had shut down by the time I could get around to you.
Umm… part of the reason I don’t cover you right now is that your site is opaque. Unless the payoff is presented quickly, I don’t usually register on sites. I think it’s a mistake to force people like me to have to sign up just so I can test your software. That kind of lead generation is frankly, the worst kind.
I’d love to review it but in the interest of transparency, I’d like all my readers to review it too without having to go through a registration wall themselves.
Show us the love, Jeff. Show us the love.
Thank you for your comments Allan, and we would be glad to show some Love! We would like to make our trial as accessible as possible, because 85% of the people whom try NEON and get a demonstration, buy it. (really) Below is access to a generic trial system.
When someone registers for the Free Trial from our site, we set up a full system for them with their web template copied into the front end pages, and we set up the backend with their logo and customized email templates. This way they can see exactly how their system would look and feel.
We will work on making the trial more easily accessible from our site, but in the meantime everyone can test it from here:
Here is the control panel for the staff to manage all of the data and different functions:
https://www.z2systems.com/np/clients/test/login.jsp
Login to access the system is adminN
Password is neontest
Here is a link with links to some of the different pages that we can integrate with our clients web sites (except theirs would have their own web template and would look like their web site):
http://www.z2systems.com/portal/frontoffice.jsp?sid=test
I hope this helps, and if there is ever anything I can do to make it easier for your readers, please let me know.
