This looks like a telephony service that could be of great use to social service organizations in the United States. In fact, the founders have already headed in that direction. ProjectCare is Grandcentral’s bid to become a new Community Voicemail. My guess is that they developed their own platform and didn’t rely on a third party like Cisco to do it (and not so well at that).
It’s my hope that Grandcentral will spur more innovation at Community Voicemail so that they can implement a savvier version of their voicemail system. Anyway, I’ve already contact Grandcentral on behalf of my organization so let’s see what they’ve got to offer nonprofits in other areas of the country outside of San Francisco.
