Yes, Curt Hibbs -- that's how I learned RoR too. I know that when I espouse RoR, I sometimes sound like a missionary proselytizing a new religion but talking about RoR, to me, is like 1993 for me when I kept telling people to get e-mail.

"Why do I need e-mail? Who would I talk to? Just you?"

I read your post and the comments and thought I would check out this new tech (well new to me at least). I am impressed. It looks really straight forward to use and provides you with so many shortcuts to speedy development.

Check out this for a quick intro:

Yes, there are places. 37signals.com which is pretty much where RoR was born. It'll grow over time. Take a look at http://www.tiobe.com/tpci.htm. Ruby is shooting up to the top of that chart very quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if it overtook C# in a year or so.
