It looks like firstgiving.org did THEIR widget recently and the numbers they’re getting are pretty amazing. One blogger managed to raise $58,281.70. I think firstgiving has been using the web to aggregate donation requests to its site and in return, getting a small cut of the donations in return for hosting the request and payment process. Firstgiving.com is a subsidiary of justgiving.com. If you go to both sites, they’re remarkably similar in design because they pretty much do the same thing — aggregation of microphilanthropy causes via the web.


They’re integrated with change.org – a sort of linked In for social change, an interesting concept.
