01.06.09Top Five Ways You Know The Redesign of Your Nonprofit Web Site Went BadCheck out this pretty cool roundup of "40+ Inspirational Non-Profit Website Designs". They're all great looking even if not all of them are non-profit (that's Change.org). Unfortunately, while the designs are inspirational, their beauty is only skin deep. I did a very cursory inspection of these 41 websites (excluding Change.org). I checked to see if they use META description and keywords properly, had a <TITLE> tag and if they were using any tracking software like Google Analytics, Mint, Quantcast, Statcounter, GetClicky or even if they were using something .NET Web Parts for tracking. I've made some radical changes to this list in order to accommodate my new criteria. 09.05.07Philanthropy and Nonprofit Top 25 List – September 2007I use Quantcast a lot to figure out who is getting more buzz and who is not. I use it more than Alexa because Quantcast allows for sites to participate in the counting by adding Quantcast's Javascript to their site. Those of you who have websites on this list but think your visitor count is under-reported, please add Quantcast's Javascript to your site. I already have and the traffic report is available for viewing. I've used it for several months and it's close enough to Google Analytics' reports that we can all get a better view of nonprofit and philanthropy ...
